Dr. Oppal attended allopathic medical school and noticed the lack of emphasis on disease prevention and health promotion in patient care, specifically using nutrition and exercise. While completing his training at Wyckoff Heights Medical Centre in Brooklyn, NY Dr. Oppal was able to make this sustainable lifestyle change in his own life; this was the driving force for him to pursue Naturopathic Medicine. Dr. Oppal studied at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto. He has over 5 years of experience in treating complex cases with evidence-based natural treatments as well as pharmaceuticals. He is also an Assistant Professor and Supervising Physician for medical students and interns at Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine- CCNM in New Westminster.
His treatment philosophy is working with patients to find the root cause of disease and solutions that work for them and their lifestyles. Dr. Oppal’s hometown is in the Fraser Valley, and he is a registered Naturopathic Doctor with the College of Complementary Health Professionals of BC (CCHPBC).
